Technology and parent-child relationship
Lelin Azad
Having children is easy, but becoming a successful and competent parent is difficult. Because, it is very difficult to raise children Nowadays,. Although children are an invaluable asset to parents, many parents do not know how to be successful parents or do not follow through. As a result, the distance between parents and children is increasing, and children are becoming more dangerous. Be it due to a busy life, technological excellence, or any other reason, one has to think, Where is the problem? If the parents fail to notice why the children are avoiding the company of their parents, what they are getting busy with, and what they are spending time on, then their children's downfall is certain. Just as technology has made our lives easier, its negative impact has made our young society vulnerable. If our young children are not made aware of its negative effects now, their bright future will be heading towards certain destruction.
It is true that the use of technology has improved our lives. But its misuse has a negative impact on our family and social lives. Especially mobile phones are bringing disaster to the lives of teenage boys and girls. With the benefit of technology, mobile phones have come into the hands of immature teenage boys and girls. Mobile phone first friendship relationship. Then it turns into a love affair. These days, school-going students are seen holding expensive mobile phones with internet connectivity. These immature children are attracted to forbidden things by downloading obscene video images and pictures on the internet. Most of the college boys and girls are using mobile phones for various reasons. While it is safe for boys to carry mobile phones, girls do not display mobile phones openly in educational institutions due to the ban on educational institutions. But canteens of schools and colleges, silent places, and even sitting on the phone talk in the bathroom. Younger and more youthful passions lead to moral degradation. When you open the pages of the newspaper, you can see the news of the disappearance of school students at the hands of unknown people. Besides, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Imo, and Instagram) is one of the attractions of the young generation. Today's young generation keeps themselves locked in social media most of the day and night, thereby losing their valuable time.
The family is the most primitive and original educational institution in society. Family education is what leads a child to a beautiful, golden future. But the image of the country has started to change day by day. School-going boys and girls are mostly seen in various call centers and cyber cafes in the city. A class of girls brought extra clothes in their school bags. As a student of an educational institution, she goes to a convenient place to hide herself, changing the uniform of the educational institution, putting on the new clothes brought in the bag, holding her lover's hand, and going to various places in the suburbs to go boating or spend time. Akash culture's biological idiosyncrasies, impermanence, and immaturity drive them towards crime. In this case, if our parents do not keep track of their children, the destruction of future generations is inevitable.
As a result of the free and excessive use of information and communication technology, students have to attend the classroom with a tired body and mind, especially since there is no opportunity for physical and mental rest. Due to uncontrolled use, this ruthless device has taken valuable time from the student's book table. At the age when children will be cherished by the close touch of their parents, young society is getting injured by the addiction of a virtual world. Constantly floating himself in the settlement of lies and floating others. In this way, the young generation is creating a barrier of disbelief in society. According to many, mobile-internet addiction is now having more negative effects than drug addiction. It has also been reported as a disorder in some cases as a result of adolescent use. A teenager easily falls prey to this disorder, even while sitting at the reading table or in class. In this case, there is no way for teachers or parents to understand their activities. Recently, I visited a mobile phone shop in my city and witnessed a scene. A high school student came there wearing the uniform of the institution. Then she said to the shopkeeper, 'Brother, the SIM card I bought yesterday has been blocked by my mother. Give me another SIM card again. I haven't been able to talk to my boyfriend since last night.' Parents should realize from this incident how dangerous our children are today.
The use of technology by immature boys and girls is leading to disaster day by day. It is not possible for police, RAB, or law enforcement alone to prevent this degradation. Even the government is not entirely possible unless the parents are fully aware of this. Only parents can prevent this degradation in their children through their awareness. Therefore, parents should come forward to protect their children from disaster. Who are their children hanging out with? Are they returning home on time? What are they up to at night? Are they spending time in some sinister conversation on the pretext of private reading? Are there any boys or girls staying out of the house even after the evening with whom they have been talking on the phone for a long time? It has become difficult to keep a watchful eye on everything. Since the relationship between mothers and children is deep, mothers should be more aware of these things. Also, there are some things that, if followed by parents, will be possible to protect our children from the negative effects of technology and strengthen the relationship between parents and children. Children will move forward towards a better future. Here are the things for parents to follow:
1. Ensuring religious and moral education in the family. 2. Cultivated by positive education and attitude from childhood. 3. Correcting children when they make mistakes and giving them strength when they are upset. 4. Creating friendly relationships with children and giving them quality time. 5. Creating high ideals in their minds so that they can set their goals. 6. To ensure the system of growing up in a healthy environment. 7. not giving mobile phones into their hands at an immature age and discouraging their use. 8. organizing at least one picnic in a month in the presence of all family members. 9. ensuring that children do not get bored or subjected to harsh discipline. 10. Keeping parents in regular contact with the child and understanding their attitude. 11. Continued participation of children in various family, social, cultural, and religious activities. In addition to this, the negative aspects of technology should be included in the curriculum of schools and colleges, and measures should be taken so that the teachers of the educational institutions provide the necessary information to their students in this regard. Besides, arrange to appoint one psychologist in every educational institution so that they can provide necessary counseling to the young generation. If necessary, motivation classes and seminars should also be arranged in schools and colleges. If these steps are taken on an urgent basis, the relationship of parents with the next generation will be close and friendly.
